JEDDAH — Saudi Civil Defense issued a series of alerts across seven cities and governorates within about 30 minutes late Friday before subsequently announcing that the danger had passed. The alerts covered Jeddah, Taif, Yanbu, AlUla, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Abha. Jeddah, Taif, Yanbu and Khamis Mushait each received two alerts, while AlUla, Jazan and Abha each received one. Civil Defense later issued notifications announcing that the danger had passed in the affected areas.
