King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) implemented a volunteer medical project for open-heart surgery for children in Dar es Salaam, the United Republic of Tanzania, from September 4 to 11, 2026, with the participation of 20 volunteers from various medical specialties. TOKYO — The number of people aged 100 or older in Japan surpassed a record 100,000 this year, the country’s health ministry said on Tuesday, underscoring the country’s rapidly aging and declining population.
