King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center’s (KSrelief) Masam Project for Clearing Landmines in Yemen removed 1,721 mines from various areas of Yemen during the third week of September 2026, including 44 anti-personnel mines, 85 anti-tank mines, and 1,592 unexploded ordnance items.
The number of mines removed since the beginning of August has risen to 3,887, while the total number cleared since the launch of the Masam Project has risen to 592,212. These mines had been indiscriminately planted across Yemen, posing a threat to the lives of innocent children, women, and the elderly, and spreading fear among civilians.
Through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, Saudi Arabia continues its efforts to clear landmines from Yemeni territory under the Masam Project, enhancing civilian safety and helping enable the brotherly Yemeni people to live in dignity and security.
